THE DESIGN PROCESS
STAGE ONE
Initial Design Consultation
During the Initial Consultation we discuss your ideas, goals and what you are hoping to achieve.
This includes a 1.5hr on-site meeting to discuss the scope of works, the estimated fees and expectations on the project timeline.
Together we outline the scope of works for the design and explore the project capabilities.
Following our consultation, we will create a customised project proposal for your consideration.
STAGE FOUR
Final Design + Documentation
A complete specification, schedule and documentation including detailed drawings for the project are then issued.
Approval and sign off of all drawings, specifications and contracts are completed for construction to commence.
STAGE TWO
Concept Design
During the Concept stage of the design process we establish the design brief and prepare concept drawings and 3D renders for your project. We explain our thinking behind the design intent enabling our clients to understand the direction of the project.
We also start to explore materiality and finishes.
STAGE FIVE
Construction
This is where all your dreams for your design start to come to life. We liaise and work closely with all trades and consultants to ensure the design intent is achieved and everything runs smoothly.
STAGE THREE
Design Development
Here any necessary modifications are made to the design, prior to providing the final quotation, all drawings and specifications including finishes, fixtures and equipment are finalised. A site meeting with relevant trades will be required to establish costs associated with the project.
STAGE SIX
Furniture & lighting Design/ Styling
The Escapist + Co also provides Furniture & Lighting design and procurement.
We establish a floor plan that works and present a selection of pieces that is tailored to your needs and requirements for the space.
Each piece will tell your unique story and how you want to live.
Once everything has been selected, we then move onto the procurement process where we manage the ordering, payment, and delivery for your project.
All items are then perfectly styled to bring your vision to life.
